TERRASSE PANORAMIQUE D'OBSERVATION

This scenographic project transforms the rooftop terrace of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco into an immersive observatory dedicated to the Pelagos Sanctuary, combining contemplation of the seascape with awareness of ocean conservation. Conceived as an “open planetarium,” the visitor journey gradually leads from orientation to observation and then to scientific understanding through a series of spaces and exploration capsules seamlessly integrated into the panorama and the site’s climatic constraints.

The installation invites visitors to view the sea as a living ecosystem, to become aware of the ecological challenges linked to the Pelagos Sanctuary, and to develop a more sensitive and responsible relationship with the ocean.

Ce projet scénographique transforme le toit-terrasse du Musée océanographique de Monaco en un observatoire immersif dédié au sanctuaire Sanctuaire Pelagos, mêlant contemplation du paysage marin et sensibilisation à la protection des océans. Pensé comme un “planétaire ouvert”, le parcours guide progressivement le visiteur de l’orientation à l’observation puis à la compréhension scientifique, à travers différents espaces et capsules d’exploration intégrés harmonieusement au panorama et aux contraintes climatiques du site. Le dispositif invite ainsi à regarder la mer comme un écosystème vivant, à prendre conscience des enjeux écologiques liés au sanctuaire Pelagos et à développer une relation sensible et responsable avec l’océan.
