SS 2017-18 FW YOUJIA JIN

Youjia Jin’s menswear Spring-Summer collection  has been presented through an artistic performance by 16 performers and models. The designer has tried to revisit school uniforms by experimenting these feelings of fear and joy that teenagers experience as they find their way in the world. The performative scenography was spread out inside a bipolar atmosphere inpired by Magritte’s paintings. During several hours the performers were moving on the two floors of Elephant Paname transformed with broken up and suspended sculptures, stairs with grass and disproportionate chairs.

La collection printemps-été de vêtements pour hommes de Youjia Jin a été présentée à travers une performance artistique de 16 interprètes et modèles. La créatrice désirait revisiter les uniformes scolaires en expérimentant les sentiments de peur et de joie ressentis par les adolescents qui se retrouvent dans le monde. C’est dans un univers bipolaire et surréaliste inspiré des peintures de Magritte que se déploie une scénographie performative. Pendant plusieurs heures les danseurs performent autour de sculptures morcelées, mutilées, suspendues, d’escalier en gazon ou de chaises disproportionées.
