LOUIS XVI, MARIE ANTOINETTE ET LA REVOLUTION

The exhibition aims to trace the daily life of the queen and the king within a limited chronological framework, focusing specifically on their forced stay at the Tuileries Palace.

The narrative unfolds within the enclosed space of the Tuileries Palace, which was very difficult to enter and exit, and which housed Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette during the final years of their lives. We chose to create a scenographic space centered on the evocation of its walls as the enclosure of a confined space in contrast to the outside world.

L’exposition a pour but de retracer la vie quotidienne de la reine et du roi dans un cadre chronologique limité et circonscrit à leur séjour forcé au Château des Tuileries.

Le scénario se déroule dans l’espace clos qu’était le Château des Tuileries, duquel il était très compliqué d’entrer et de sortir, et qui abrita Louis XVI et Marie Antoinette pour les dernières années de leur vie. Nous avons choisi de créer un espace scénographique articulé autour de l’évocation de ses murs comme enceinte d’un espace confiné en opposition à son extérieur.
