IMPRESSIONS NABIES

The scenography of the exhibition reflects the Nabis' ambition to democratize art by integrating it into daily life, through a linear progression from the sacred to the intimate. The mobile walls, arranged in a fan shape, recreate a structured and thematic journey, accentuated by a colour palette evolving from beige to dark brown, symbolizing the gradual integration of prints into 19th-century interiors. The printmaking technique is showcased with an evolving engraved matrix, illustrating the stages of creation up to the final artwork, which is displayed in a culminating intimate setting evoking the bourgeois salons of the time. This immersive scenography highlights the impact of the Nabis, merging art and everyday life in an accessible and universal approach.

La scénographie de l’exposition reflète l’ambition des Nabis de démocratiser l’art en l’intégrant à la vie quotidienne, à travers un parcours linéaire progressant du sacré vers l’intime. Les cimaises mobiles, disposées en épi, recréent un cheminement structuré et thématique, accentué par une palette de couleurs évoluant du beige au brun foncé, symbolisant l’intégration progressive de l’estampe dans les intérieurs du XIXe siècle. La technique de l’estampe est mise à l’honneur avec une matrice évolutive gravée, illustrant les étapes de création jusqu’à l’œuvre finalisée, visible en point d’orgue dans un décor intime évoquant les salons bourgeois de l’époque. Cette scénographie immersive souligne l’impact des Nabis, fusionnant art et quotidien dans une démarche accessible et universelle.
