GALERIE IMPRESSIONNISTE
MUSEE DES BEAUX ARTS DE ROUEN
Following the François Depeaux exhibition exposing part of the
Impressionist collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Rouen, the
Museum wishes to present the collection in a new gallery, and a new
scenography.
Græphème offers contemporary architecture with an assertive
materiality inside the gallery. It allows the space to be divided into three
parts, while maintaining the volume of the gallery. Like an object added
to an existing architecture, it is detached from the walls of the gallery.
Inside this architecture, the visitor has the feeling of being in a more
intimate space, while having an open view on the glass roof that we
aspire to highlight. The walls and ceilings which delimit this box allow a
clear reading of the space.
The diagonal created in the center of the gallery aims to energize the
perception of it while maintaining an open and majestic vision.
À la suite de l'exposition François Depeaux exposant une partie de
la collection impressionniste du Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen, le
Musée souhaite présenter la collection dans une nouvelle galerie, et une
nouvelle scénographie.
Græphème propose une architecture contemporaine à la matérialité
affirmée à l'intérieur de la galerie. Elle permet un découpage de l'espace
en trois parties, tout en conservant le volume de la galerie. Comme un
objet rajouté dans une architecture existante, elle est décollée des murs
de la galerie. A l'intérieur de cette architecture, le visiteur a la sensation
d'être dans un espace plus intime, tout en ayant une vision ouverte sur la
verrière que nous aspirons à mettre en valeur. Les murs et plafonds qui
délimitent cette boite permettent une lecture claire de l'espace.
La diagonale créée au centre de la galerie, vise à dynamiser la
perception de celle-ci tout en conservant une vision ouverte et
majestueuse.
