A true rite of passage, the labyrinth symbolizes the journey that humanity must undertake through the trials and tribulations of its own existence. The labyrinth’s form, used as a scenographic concept, represents the complex, man-made world—devoid of natural elements—in which we live.

The labyrinth can also evoke the idea of a grid: the urban grid, or the global grid woven by the flow of people migrating from one part of the planet to another by air or land, as well as the flow of digital communications.

Lost in the density of the fabric, visitors take a moment to pause and reflect within the kiosks that mark the path. An architecture within architecture, the “kiosk” is defined by a floor, a roof, and walls. It represents an additional layer in the urban fabric, a form added to the existing one. A solid structure amidst this dense web of picture rails, it serves as a marker throughout the route, concluding each section to introduce the next.

Véritable chemin initiatique, le labyrinthe symbolise le voyage que l’homme doit accomplir à travers les épreuves et les difficultés de sa propre existence. La forme du labyrinthe utilisée comme concept scénographique, représente le monde complexe, architecturé, sans éléments naturels, dans lequel nous vivons.

Le labyrinthe peut également renvoyer à l’idée de trame : la trame urbaine, ou encore la trame tissée à l’échelle mondiale avec les flux de population migrant d’un endroit à l’autre de la planète par voies aériennes ou terrestres, mais aussi les flux de communications numériques.

Perdus dans la densité de la trame, le visiteur prend un temps de pause et de recueillement au sein des kiosques qui jalonnent le parcours. Une architecture dans l’architecture, le « kiosque » se veut délimité par un sol, un toit et des murs. Il représente une strate supplémentaire dans le tissu urbain, une forme additionnelle à celle déjà existante.Architecture pleine au milieu de cette trame dense de cimaises, il est marqueur tout au long du parcours, concluant chaque section pour introduire la suivante.
